Collection: Otematata Station Wool

Every stitch is lovingly traced back to the handsome Wether Merino sheep in the high country at Otematata Station.

Soft, bouncy, structured, offering some drape and a beautiful stitch definition. Perfect for hats, sweaters, blankets and shawls.

The farm to yarn journey is made even more special, each skein has been dyed by hand with natural resources in small batches. Dyestuffs can be seasonal, and each batch is so unique you will be the only person in the world with our artisan yarn.

Small lot dyeing means colour differs from batch to batch, and often within the same dye lot. Skeins may be randomly tonal from the natural dye process. This is all part of the charm of natural dyeing.

I do my best to represent colours accurately, but they can differ. Different monitors & devices can show different shades to the photo.

Care: Cold gentle hand-wash in pH neutral detergent. Do not machine wash. Colour fade may occur, naturally. Store yarn, and projects out of direct sunlight. Ultrafine merino is precious, and friction may cause pilling in your finished object. We recommend using a wool comb or sweater stone to remove pills.
